ABOUT US
We met at school, and have been friends and a filmmaking duo ever since.
We're from working-class roots, raised in the shadow of Coventry's industrial devolution, with factories closing, our parents losing their jobs, and high streets becoming ghost towns. We'd walk miles every weekend to a cheap cinema at the edge of town and get lost in movies, then dream of our own as we walked home.
The same day we finished our GCSEs, we started writing our first film, about two friendly cannibals in a post-apocalyptic world. It was awful, but we fell in love with filmmaking and have been doing it ever since.
We've worked every kind of filmmaking job, pulling insane hours, here and abroad. Our first commercial couldn't even afford shoestring, but a lot of love and a brilliant crew turned into an award-winning ad.
We kept making short films until one won two awards at the RTS, and in our youthful exuberance, we walked up to the execs of BBC's Doctors, and asked for a shot. Bless their generosity, they agreed, and that kickstarted our writing career in TV.
We love sci-fi and adventure, crime and comedy. We like our characters flawed, in the gutter but looking up. We strive for heart and humour, and to make every set as enjoyable behind the camera as in front of it.
